Terms of Service

Last updated: September 1, 2026

The short version

  • Play for free. MeowMeowMatch is free to download and play. You don't need an account, and you're never required to buy anything.
  • Coins and cats aren't real property. Everything you earn or buy inside the game is a licence to use it in the game — it has no cash value and can't be sold or transferred.
  • Refunds go through the store. Google Play and the App Store handle every payment, so they also handle every refund.
  • Be decent. Don't cheat, don't tamper with the game, and pick a nickname you'd be happy to show a child — plenty of them play.

Acceptance

MeowMeowMatch ("the Game") is developed and operated by Anton D, trading as Actibor ("we", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you and us for use of the Game.

By downloading, installing, or playing the Game, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't play — and uninstall the Game if you already have.

Your privacy is covered separately in our Privacy Policy Terms of Service, which forms part of these Terms.

Who Can Play

The Game is suitable for a general audience, and we welcome players of all ages.

If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only play with the consent of a parent or guardian, and only they may make purchases. If you are a parent or guardian and your child has made a purchase you didn't approve, contact your app store's support first — they can reverse it — and write to us if you need help.

You also need to meet the minimum age required by your app store's own terms.

Your Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play the Game on devices you own or control, for your own private entertainment.

The Game itself — its code, artwork, cat characters, music, sound effects, and name — belongs to us or to our licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that to you.

You may not:

  • copy, modify, translate, or create derivative works from the Game
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble it, except where the law expressly allows this despite a contractual ban
  • rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or otherwise distribute it
  • remove or obscure any copyright or ownership notices
  • use the Game commercially, including selling accounts or in-game items for real money

Your Account

You can play the entire Game without registering. When you first open it, an anonymous player ID is created so your progress can be saved and leaderboards can work.

You are responsible for the device and any linked store or platform account used to play. Progress is tied to your player ID and, where you've linked one, to your platform account. If you lose access to that account, uninstall the Game without a linked account, or clear its data, your progress may be permanently lost — we can't always recover it.

Purchases & Virtual Items

The Game offers optional in-app purchases, such as removing ads or buying coins. Prices are shown in your local currency before you confirm, and every payment is processed by Google Play or the App Store — never by us directly. We never see or store your card details.

Coins, boosters, cats, room decorations, and every other in-game item are virtual items: a limited licence to use them inside the Game. They are not your property, have no monetary value, and cannot be exchanged for cash, goods, or anything of value outside the Game. You may not sell, trade, or transfer them to anyone.

Virtual items exist only for as long as the Game does. We may change an item's price, effect, or availability, and we may remove items entirely, for example when rebalancing gameplay. Where a change would substantially reduce something you have already paid for, we will try to give reasonable notice or a fair equivalent.

Consumable items — coins and boosters — are used up when you spend them. Non-consumable purchases, such as removing ads, stay unlocked for the store account that bought them and can be restored on a new device through that same account.

Refunds

Because Google Play and the App Store process all payments, refunds are governed by their policies and must be requested from them:

  • Google Play — through the Play Store's order history or Google's refund request form
  • App Store — through Apple's "Report a Problem" page

Nothing here limits any statutory refund or cancellation right you have under the consumer law of your country. If a purchase fails to deliver what it promised, write to us and we will try to put it right.

Advertising

The Game is free because it shows ads, including banners, ads between rounds, and optional rewarded ads you can choose to watch in exchange for in-game rewards.

Ads are supplied by third-party networks, and their content is theirs, not ours. We don't endorse advertised products and aren't responsible for them or for the sites they lead to. What ad networks collect is described in our Privacy Policy.

Where the Game offers an ad-free purchase, it removes banners and interstitials. Rewarded ads remain available, because they are the optional way to earn rewards.

Rules of Conduct

While playing, you agree not to:

  • cheat, exploit bugs, or use modified clients, emulator scripts, or automation tools to gain an advantage
  • tamper with scores, currency, or leaderboard entries
  • disrupt our servers or the services we rely on, or try to access them without authorisation
  • impersonate anyone, including us
  • break the law while using the Game

We may remove leaderboard entries that appear falsified, without notice.

Nicknames & Avatars

You may choose a nickname and avatar that other players can see on leaderboards. You are responsible for what you choose.

Don't use anything obscene, hateful, harassing, deceptive, or infringing on somebody else's rights, and don't include personal information — your own or anyone else's. We may change or remove a nickname that breaks this rule.

By choosing a nickname and avatar, you grant us permission to display them within the Game to other players.

Availability & Changes

We aim to keep the Game running, but we don't promise uninterrupted availability. Servers may go down, features may break, and the online parts — cloud saves, leaderboards, ads — depend on third parties we don't control.

We may add, change, or remove features, adjust game balance, or update the Game at any time. We may also discontinue the Game entirely. If we do, we will try to give reasonable notice through the Game or this website.

Suspension & Termination

You can end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the Game.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially break these Terms — for example by cheating or tampering with the Game. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first.

If your access ends, any virtual items you hold are forfeited without compensation, except where consumer law in your country says otherwise.

Disclaimer

The Game is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind about it, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Game will be error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that your progress will never be lost.

Some countries do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties. If yours is one of them, this section applies to you only as far as that law permits, and your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for lost progress, lost virtual items, or lost data, arising from your use of the Game.

Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us through in-app purchases in the twelve months before the claim, or ten euros.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Georgia have jurisdiction over any dispute.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence, and you may also bring proceedings there.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Game develops or the law changes. The "last updated" date at the top always shows the current version.

For significant changes we will give notice in the Game or on this website before they take effect. Continuing to play after that means you accept the updated Terms; if you don't accept them, please stop playing and uninstall the Game.
